Summary of trip activities
o Day One: the team visited Pasitos de Jesus, an all girls orphanage that is home to 30 girls, in Boca Chica and run by Dalma Florian. From there the tea headed to visit a youth center in Santo Domingo. Casa Juvenil Tercer Cielo (Third Heaven Youth Community Center) This ministry was founded by Damaso Marte, a former New York Yankee player. The team ended the day with dinner at Adrian Tropical with Damaso and Casa Juvenil staff.

o Day Two: This day was jam packed! The pastoral team met with members of SCORE International’s church planting ministry to encourage local church pastors. The team then headed to Ole a local grocery store to purchase and pack food bags to distribute to the children at the Compassion Center, located in the impoverished community of Cienaga. The team joined in worship and singing and also enjoyed performances from the children and afterwards distributed food bags to students. The group split and the musicians/worship team headed to Casa Juvenil to work with youth for their performance on Thursday and the other half and Pastoral team headed to Con Cristo Se Puede, drug rehab center. The team had the opportunity to fellowship with women and children and to hear some of the testimonies of men from the rehab center. In the after noon, the team had the opportunity to visit the homes of some of the youth from Casa Juvenil. Before returning to the SCORE complex, Damaso and staff took the team to pray over a potential site for a new facility.

o Day Three: The team headed to the rural town of Quisqeya, to visit the Emmanuel House a ministry started by Mirqueya Guzman, a local school teacher. Emmanuel House offers food, education and biblical training to school aged children. The team split into three groups and visited the homes of three families from the Emmanuel House and had the opportunity to share the Word of God. We then headed to the village of Monty Cristi, to Cas de Ancianos Betel, a nursing home for the elderly, that serves over 60 men and women mainly of Haitian descent that have no family to care for them. The team toured the facility to see the improvements, bought a donation of rice and oil and had a time of singing and worshipping with the residents. The team split again and headed to work with Casa Juvenil youth for the evening performance and the others headed to a nursing home in Santo Domingo of patients suffering from leprosy. During their visit, the patients were given food and refreshments during worship. The evening ended with a wonderful worship and concert by the youth from Casa Juvenil along with the worship team at a local church. One of the youths mothers accepted Christ that night during the alter call.

o Day four: We headed to the beach for a time of singing, worship and baptism with 18 members from the community of Boca Chica. We then got a quick driving tour of the Highlands Complex, in Boca Chica, ministry of the Rawlings Foundation and Impact Youth Worldwide in partnership with SCORE International.
