In 2007 the canning project was initiated AARAMA sat out to teach members of the Nakuru Kenya community the process of canning vegetables while pentiful in season are dependent upon weather conditions for sustainment.
The aim of the canning project is to ensure that food is always available. People that grow there own provisions can store food for leaner times.
Because large communities have no electricity, preserving food can be
difficult. People sometimes have only food for the day that it is purchased. Many go hungry when supply’s are not available
